Dr. Koh has been appointed Associate Professor in the UST-IBS School at the University of Science and Technology (UST), Korea.
This appointment is particularly meaningful because Dr. Koh completed his graduate training through the UST-KIST School. Its research-based curriculum, closely integrated with a government research institute, provided an exceptional environment to pursue curiosity-driven science, develop scientific independence, and establish the research philosophy that continues to guide ABCD lab today.

Now, as a faculty member in the UST-IBS School, Dr. Koh looks forward to mentoring the next generation of graduate students through UST's research-oriented educational framework. Having benefited from this educational model during his own graduate training, he is pleased to contribute to it as a faculty member, working within one of Korea's world-class research institutes.

As part of IBS Center for Memory and Glioscience, ABCD lab offers graduate students the opportunity to pursue curiosity-driven, interdisciplinary research in a collaborative and internationally competitive environment. Through the UST-IBS School, students receive research-intensive graduate education while working at the forefront of fundamental neuroscience.
We welcome highly motivated UST graduate students who are passionate about glial biology, developmental neuroscience, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Prospective students interested in joining ABCD lab are encouraged to contact Dr. Koh (whvankoh@ibs.re.kr) to discuss research opportunities.
