Upcoming Seminar by Prof. Kyungchul Noh
We are pleased to welcome Prof. Kyungchul Noh from the Department of Pharmacology, Ajou University School of Medicine, for an invited seminar on October 28, 2026.
His talk, "From Winning to Winning Again: Glial-Neuronal Control of Social State," will explore how neurons and astrocytes in the medial prefrontal cortex regulate social dominance and the effects of winning experiences. In particular, he will discuss the distinct roles of neuronal dopamine D1 receptors and astrocytic dopamine D2 receptors in shaping competitive behavior and reinforcing previous winning experiences.
We look forward to an engaging discussion on astrocytes in social behavior and experience-dependent plasticity, as well as exploring opportunities for future research collaborations.
