We are pleased to welcome Prof. Takuya Osakada from the School of Life Science and Technology, Institute of Science Tokyo, for an invited seminar on November 4, 2026.
His talk, "Oxytocinergic Modulation in the Hypothalamus for Plasticity of Social Behaviors in Mice," will explore how previous social experiences shape subsequent behaviors. Drawing on his research on hypothalamic oxytocin circuits, he will discuss how animals learn from social defeat and adapt their responses to future social encounters.
Beyond the seminar, we hope to explore potential connections between his work on oxytocin circuits and our research on early-life social attachment and brain development!
