The paper was co-corresponded by Wuhyun Koh  and C. Justin Lee , and provides an updated perspective on tonic NMDA receptor currents in the brain. The article explores how neurotransmitters such as glutamate, glycine, and D-serine regulate tonic NMDA receptor activity, and how these mechanisms contribute to synaptic plasticity
